Depart and travel to meet your LOCAL GUIDE at for a day of touring New Hampshire!
Arrive at the FRANCONIA NOTCH VISITOR’S CENTER. There are historical displays, a wonderful 20 minute interpretive DVD, a coffee shop, gift shop and rest rooms! Some folks may want to take a partial tour of the Gorge.
Travel through Franconia Notch State Park. Stop to view the Old Man of the Mountain Historic Site.
Tour through Crawford Notch with photo stops of the Omni Mount Washington Hotel, the Elephant Head rock formation and Silver Cascade, and then NORTH CONWAY for lunch on own.
Lunch on own and shopping time in the village of North Conway.
Tour the KANCAMAGUS National Scenic Byway with stops at the Albany Covered Bridge, Rocky Gorge, Sugar Hill overlook as time and weather allow. Travel through the former logging town of Lincoln. LOON GONDOLA located in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest. Soar to the 2,750 foot summit on New Hampshire’s longest, scenic Gondola Skyride and enjoy spectacular views. At the top watch local artisans produce unique crafts, climb the observation tower or visit the Summit Café for a snack.

Tour the MAINE MARITIME MUSEUM. Located on the banks of the Kennebec River, the museum depicts Maine's shipbuilding industry from the 1600's to the present. Numerous hands on exhibits, boat building demonstrations, and a lobstering exhibit are here for you to see on the grounds of an historic shipyard. (Depart at 4:30 PM for Freeport)

Depart hotel and travel to MASSACHUSETTS, “the Bay State”.
Arrive in STURBRIDGE and step back in time at OLD STURBRIDGE VILLAGE, a re-creation of a rural New England town. You’ll have the afternoon to enjoy lunch on your own and strolling through this community of the 1830’s.
Depart Old Sturbridge Village.
Depart for dinner in West Brookfield.
Arrive at the historical SALEM CROSS INN. (dinner prior to hotel arrival)
Let the FIREPLACE FEAST begin! Relax by the fieldstone fireplace as the crackling fire roasts your prime rib “to a turn” by rotating it slowly over a crackling fire of wild cherry logs. This jack is the only known 1700’s antique roasting jack that was used to roast fowl and beef in New England that is still in use. The flavor of the fireplace roasted prime rib is unsurpassed.
